Present Position is Chief Financial Officer 

In this position I am responsible for the administrative and financial operations of the small consulting firm. Principal accountabilities are: 

- Assist in formulating the company's future direction and develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction. Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans. Develop financial and tax strategies. Manage the capital request and budgeting processes. 

- Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team. Manage the outsourced functions: tax and accounting, human resources, legal. 

- Oversee employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package. 

- Oversee the issuance of financial and tax information. Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements. Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies. 

2011 - 2012 Statoil, Russian Business Unit, Moscow 

Shtokman Project Controller 

In this position I participated in the Shtokman project (the joint venture between Gazprom, Total and Statoil to develop the Arctic shelf) and contributed to the decisions which Statoil made. I prepared various economic models and analyzed taxes, pricing, investment and transportation scenarios. Prepared and presented proposals to partners Gazprom and Total. Coordinated work of external consultants. Participated in negotiations with partners and the Russian state. This was a challenging yet exciting task to find a viable commercial solution to the complex project. I participated in competency transfer to the personnel of the partners in our project. 

2007 - 2011 Statoil, Russian Business Unit, Moscow 

Principal Analyst / Kharyaga Project Controller 

As a Project Controller for Kharyaga, the joint venture working under the production sharing agreement between the Russian state, Total and Statoil, I directed the activities of a team of 4 people in Moscow. In my day-to-day work I closely collaborated both with the external partners (Total, Russian companies Zarubezhneft and NOC and Russian State authorities) and internally with Statoil Finance and Control, subsurface and operating teams. 

I have contributed to the successful pass of Kharyaga Phase 3 and Phase 3 Extension decision gates, the good record of Kharyaga reporting and efficient business planning. 

Main tasks and responsibilities in this position were: 

-Developed and updated Kharyaga financial and economic models 

-Followed up Kharyaga project on various commercial issues (tax, insurance, financing, farm-out, etc) 

-Performed financial and economic analyses related to various issues (Investment Decision Gates, farm-out, tax planning, reserves calculation, etc) 

-Participated in investment decision preparation (Kharyaga Phase 3, Phase 3 Extension) 

-Performed weekly and monthly management reporting 

-Reconciled Statoil financial reporting and accounting with the partner PSA reporting 

-Participated in the preparation of annual business plans and budgeting process 

-Was a member in partner sub-committees and meetings with the state authorities 

-Participated in the annual partner audit of Total Exploration Production Russie (the operator of Kharyaga) 

-Calculated and reported Kharyaga reserves and resources for SEC and Statoil internal reporting
